Portable Satellite Radio

A portable satellite radio is a small receiver that receives signals directly from satellites, rather than using traditional radio frequencies.

The primary advantage of using this technology instead of AM/FM frequencies is that portable satellite radios can pick up programming from anywhere in the world. This opens the user up to a virtually limitless number of commercial-free channels, with an enormous variety of content from around the globe.
