The ins and outs of Sting's relationshipsBy: Shlomo Tommer, Sat Dec 10th, 2005 12:43:26 AM Sting's desire for harmonious relationships and surroundings is so strong that he avoids personal confrontations or any expression of intense, unpleasant emotions. He is an idealist who would like to paint the world in pastel colors, and live in peace and harmony with others at all times. He is able to see points of similarity and unity with people who are vastly different from himself, and befriend many different types of people. He is a considerate and thoughtful friend, and has a real flair for making others feel accepted and appreciated. Inwardly Sting is often torn with indecision and is much more at odds with himself than others would ever guess from his smooth, even disposition. He has strong attachments to his past, the place where he grew up, his heritage, and family traditions. In fact, Sting may be unable to step out of the habits and roles he learned as a child. His tie to his mother is very strong and he also seeks mothering and protection from his spouse and other family members as well. Sting is a sensitive soul, a dreamer, very much attuned to the world of imagination and fantasy. He often retreats into his own inner world in order to escape the harshness of everyday living in the "real world". Gentle and often rather passive as well, he will not fight or assert himself, even when needed. He is very sympathetic and somewhat naive emotionally and must guard against being taken advantage of. He has very deep feelings and profound attachments to people he cares about. His relationships to his mother, sisters, daughters, and other females in his life are apt to be incredibly close and intense. Sting may be easily manipulated too, when it comes to one of these important relationships, because he is so emotionally invested in it. Sting is quietly devoted and faithful to his loved ones, and often becomes a kind of servant to his love partner. He is more comfortable showing love for someone by doing something for them, making something for them, or simply being there for them -rather than telling them so in a romantic, soul-stirring sort of way. He is timid about expressing too much sentiment or emotion. He also underestimates his attractiveness and lovability and doubts his own worthiness to receive love and appreciation. For Sting, caring and affection must be expressed tangibly, and he loves giving and receiving gifts. He values luxury, comfort, and elegance very highly and appreciates beautiful things. He can be self-indulgent and extravagant. Being overly possessive of people he loves and of his belongings is something Sting needs to beware of. He is extremely amorous and it is difficult for him to go without a romantic involvement for very long. When Sting is attracted to someone, he pursues them very ardently and sometimes comes on too strong. Doing creative work or artistic work can also satisfy the very strong desire for love and beauty that he feels. Sting tends to be a bit self-centered and willful in love, but also magnetic. His desire is always very strong and he resents authority and likes to be different. He also may have artistic ambitions and always have many new ideas at his disposal.
