PIPEX signs up to Broadband Genie

PIPEX, the UK's oldest internet service provider, has become the latest major broadband provider to have its broadband products listed on Broadband Genie ( http://www.broadbandgenie .co.uk/ ), the web-based service which allows consumers to compare broadband from the UK's leading suppliers.

As the UK's first commercial ISP, PIPEX has been a market leader for over a decade. The PIPEX Dial-up network was the first to offer nationwide connection speeds at 33,600bps and 56k V90, and last month announced the acquisition of broadband ISP Freedom to Surf, further strengthening its broadband offering to new and existing customers.

Broadband Genie customers can now choose from the following new broadband packages:

* PIPEX start, up to 2Mb speeds, includes free 500 minutes per month of home phone calls (optional), £14.99/month.

* PIPEX 1000, up 2Mb speeds (special offer), includes free 1,000 minutes per month of home phone calls (optional), £19.99/month for first six months (£23.99/month thereafter).

* PIPEX 2000, up 2Mb speeds, includes free 2,000 minutes per month of home phone calls (optional), £27.99/month for first six months (£33.99/month thereafter).
