From my shop in South Newfane Vermont, I design and build contemporary solid hardwood furniture. Inspiration for my pieces is rooted in (but not bound by) the clean grace of Shaker and Japanese aesthetics. The interplay between the refined and unrefined or "natural" line is of particular interest to me and I feature it in much of my work. I employ traditional joinery techniques, and take great care in wood selection. The result is furniture exhibiting an inner harmony that will stand the test of time.
